Traveling the world and learning new legal systems was one thing, but this was an experience that would throw Miles Edgeworth for a loop. For one, his name meant nothing now - years of perfected reputation destroyed in an instant by a virus that was untraceable and, currently, incurable.
The second most irritating thing to Miles was the drastic change in his appearance - while still fashionable and elegant, the body he had been thrust into in his escape was that of a man quite different than himself, both in presentation and race. Fortunately, Edgeworth wasn't bigoted enough to let this bother him much after the initial shock wore off. At least he had fared better than some, from what he had heard along the grapevine.
Gametown - a small strip of New York, and it was New York as he remembered it. He had been there only twice before the virus - once on business and once on holiday. Wright had insisted, though he'd sworn he hadn't had the time for such frivolities. It reminded him, in some ways, of Germany. It sure as hell wasn't L.A.
Still, Edgeworth had managed to pick up the basics again - if there was one thing he knew, it was law. He'd spent his life prosecuting, and he'd spent the last nine years of it studying a myriad of different legal systems. What was one more to learn?
